A little over a year ago, I discovered about Bullet Journaling. At first through @Makoccinos . I then got the basic from @boho.berry . Both offer great advice on how to get started and even more important on how to efficiently personalize your BuJo. Kara, also grants you access to a FREE resource library at the Boho Berry Tribe's Website. I added some of those videos below, feel free to check them out. Or to do your own research obviously. As a matter of fact there still are quite a few books I'd like to get my hands onto ( Bullet Journal Methode )...

That's how I got started. What I learned along the way, is to not make my spreads to complicated or stiff. This is to allow flexibility and freedom in your routine. Then another important lesson was to let go of certain popular spreads or tracker that didn't fit my habits. As much as I love the idea of a mood tracker, I usually don't follow through. Although I am trying one again this month ^^' The Design was just too cute. After a few motnhs, I also learned to not only see the trackers as motivators, but as a learning tools; to learn about me, and to actually work with real self and not my ideal dream power goddess. ( I still AM a badass power Princess though ^^)
Don't be too critical or hard on yourself. You learn to refine the tools and trackers in your Journal along the way. As an example, I just had to cut daily spreads, and there's no reason to feel guilty about it or about the unused pages wasting away. Just because it seems to work for everyone else, doesn't mean it has to work for me. Trying something out, isn't a waste. Trying again, neither.

And that's probably the most important point. That, and to have fun with it.
When I have the time and motivation, I draw or use watercolors. And when I don't, I use stickers or just print stuff out. You could go for a minimalist style instead, I hear that's very chic nowadays.
Be free, be efficient ;)
