Today was a good day.* I was efficient : worked, studied, blogged... I was in good mood, although I forced myself to stand up at an ungodly hour considering I'm still on my summer break. Kept my diet on the line, in tasteful way naturally. I also embraced my rather sassy inner-bureaucrat to pen this very blog's first official protocol. I think my sister was very amused ( and maybe somewhat overwhelmed by its unnecessary length). Altogether I declare this little literary piece a success. Fun to write and fun to read.
My unusual motivation boost also led me to an exhausting PopPilates session. While fun, this training actually made me feel better, not only my mood but also about myself (a tiny bit). That's one of the strength of the trainer, Cassey Ho: committed, super nice and very entertaining. Probably the only reason why I follow her calendars (though I'll admit only more or less assiduously).
Yesterday I donated blood plasma; about 850 ml. It's quite pleasant, I got tea, an ice and a banana, and a little compensation, but more importantly an ice... white choclate with vanilla ice cream. Originally, I wanted to spend pure blood, but they meant my haemoglobin level was a little low just like their stock of plasma. What a lucky coincidence! I'd really like to make this a monthly ritual. So far it's more a „oh it's already been 9 weeks“sort of deal.

Side notes : My inner-nerd really likes my new definition card of „Litotes“, (love the french one) and my inner-geek realised while watching „The Empty Child“ (Doctor Who episode by the way, for the hmm... less fortunate in our midst) that it has a huge fictional crush on Captain Jack Harkness. Torchwood definitely next on my watchlist. Read and Rock On! ♠ *Abstract thought : this invariably reminds me of a Starship Troopers song : It's a good day to die. Always loved it. They're so passionate and positive and happy * | Litotes |
